The first time came here with our Japanese friend last year during the winter, so good so friendly ppl they have been had. today back on a slow weekend for a quick snap, seems their employee teams all changed from chinatown people, fast ,peace , but no humanity at all , food changed quality but taste ok , no really creamy broth as before maybe they had line cooks which not a real shef . Its a good place for a quick grab to go or pick up , definitely not a place for enjoy for dine in at all . Do not try their drinks , we found there is no expire date on some bottle and cocktail taste heartless , I have no idear what was wrong just not the same place we had been feeling welcomed ans friendly . Especially one of they staff english is in training, forget my request for the ingredients.

Ordered Black Garlic Tonkotsu ramen with Pork loin and Red tonkotsu ramen with Pork belly. Both amazing. The belly was smoky and the soft boiled egg had a delicious sweet/salty taste. Lychee martini was a little strong/not sweet enough for my taste. Very attentive and kind staff that packed away my leftovers. HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.

Really awesome spot, atmosphere was different in a good way, very fun. Service was exceptional. I got the spicy garlic miso with pork loin for the meat.

The atmosphere is comfortable and has plenty of seating. The staff is kind and attentive always checking up. Loved this. The ramen was full of flavor from the wonderful profile of the broth, to thr delicate mushrooms, all the way to the melt in your mouth pork belly. I look forward to coming back.

was visiting in the area when we stumbled by this strings location. we’re from the city and have tried the chinatown location so we knew this was going to be good. i was so excited to see that they had the kaisen don on their menu. the chicago chinatown location had it briefly, and i was hoping to have to again. i know strings is mainly known for their ramen, but don’t miss out on the kaisen don. it’s so good and worth the money!
